Hi Rob0519. You can set the desired temperature by using the red button on the remote. The solid red button increases the temperature while the red outlined circle button decreases the temperature. You will see the desired temperature on the digital display. Keep ind mind that in order for the heater to produce hot air, the temperature will need to be set to a temperature that is above the rooms temperature. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

You use up and down red buttons on remote, it displays digitally on unit.
