• The Extra has 2 more attachments one of the is apet grooming tool.

• The difference is the attachment tools included. Extra has a tangle free turbine tool for upholstery and a pet groom tool. The pet groom tool is a vac attached slicker brush and it works really nicely. I have golden retrievers and it's great.

• I believe the difference is that it includes additional attachments. I think the pet grooming tool and the tangle free turbine tool (I use it to get dog hair off the furniture-really works well) are the extra ones included.
