    Asked by LVJC.

  • QuestionHow to use the wand/ And how to put it back/

    Asked by Carol.

    • Answer Not as simple as the DC15 I had which is disappointing. Pull up on the red portion and remove, extend tube until it clicks. Always be sure to extend tube until it clicks. To put it back, press button on hose end push long tube into hose while being gentle with hose to ensure long life, ensure hose end is below the rear protruding portion of the gray handle and align in straight up and down position, push red part of tube down into handle, flip red cap at top.

  • QuestionWhat is the difference between animal 2 and 3?

    Asked by Di.

    • Answer Hello Di, this is Kelly with Dyson. Both Ball Animal 2 and Ball Animal 3 offer very powerful suction power. Ball Animal 3 has an updated Motorbar cleaner head with built-in de-tangling vanes that prevent pet or human hair from getting wrapped around the machine's brush bar. There is also a suction slider on the front of the head that makes slight adjustments for varying floor types. if you have thicker carpeting in the home or pets, you may prefer the Ball Animal 3. • QuestionWhat’s the difference between the animal three and the animal three extra vacuum cleaner?

    Asked by Skip.

    • Answer they are essentially the same exact vacuums, but the 3+ comes with special tools for pet grooming tool, and hard to reach tools. all of these accessories you can buy after purchasing the vacuum (I've found ebay, amazon or independent sites are the best $$) - I've never wanted nor needed to use a vacuum to groom my dog (he would not appreciate that!) and the hard to reach crevice is nice but not exactly necessary for household areas (more appropriate for car vacuuming/shop vac type situations)

  • QuestionWhat is with the hose part? I love the vacuum!!! It is amazing!! Best vacuum I have ever owned!! But the hose is such a pain to use! It’s so hard to pull the tube out all the way so you can clean a spot you can’t reach. Am o doing it wrong?

    Asked by StacyM.

    • Answer you *might* be doing it incorrectly. I've found that stretching the tubing before connecting is extremely helpful, as it has a tendency to get stuck in place if it sits in the location it's stored. if you do this, you should have no trouble using the accessory cord to vacuum couches, stairs, or anywhere else that isn't accessible with the standard vacuum. if you're experiencing more issues other than that, I'd contact dyson directly, as they offer at least a 2 up to 5 year manufacturer warranty!

  • QuestionI’m wondering if the ball vacuums are stronger than the stick vacuums those without needing a cord or are they equal in strength?

    Asked by HeyRae.

    • Answer YES! I own both (I have a v11 and on my second animal) the animal is significantly stronger than the cordless versions. it's great having a cordless one for daily messes, especially on hardwood or rugs ... on carpet, especially thicker/shaggier ones, the animal will prove to be much more effective. it's nice having the convenience of a cordless vac, but the animal's cord length is long enough I've never had any issues, even using it in my kitchen/family room area that is open concept. only need to use one outlet. if it's a very larger room or furniture gets in the way, you might need to use another outlet but the payoff is worth plugging the minimal effort it takes to plug something in! overall, I've found a animal is better value for the money. it's a pain to do my steps (hence why I got the cordless) but for a deep clean, I'll bring out the animal every 2-3 months to do my stairs even.
