Hello D, this is Kelly with Dyson. Ball Animal 3 models feature advanced filtration. The washable post-motor filter traps 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns – as small as bacteria. The filters have been designed to last the lifetime of the machine, with proper care as outlined in the user manual.
