Defeats the purpose of the unit if you have to go over same are multiple times to clean. The hose for the tools is stiff, twisted and too short. You have to lift the entire vacuum up to use anywhere but the floor.

A:AnswerI believe there is a button near the top that releases the canister if it doesn't come loose from a light pull. Once you get the canister off, you just place it upright over a trash and push the button embedded it's handle. Voila!
