“I am looking at Dyson ...I want to purchase a vacuum for my niece ...she has asthama, allergies, 3 dogs and 2 kids ...and a 2 story house. I want to know what vacuum, Dyson or other, that has 'the best' heap filters, good for dog hair and not too heavy.”

Mary, this vacuum is heavy. I have 6 little dogs and when the bagless feature is full (there is actually a line so you don't fill it too full), I still need to get my hand/fingers in there and pull the gunk out. The hose suction is strong so when you reach up with it you are fighting the vacuum. It does come with some nice tools. I'm still looking for that perfect vacuum and this one is not it.

This is our second one, didn’t know if we really needed to replace the one we currently had, so we put it to the test. We first used our former dyson, and then did a second run with the new dyson. All I can say is it was worth every cent of $499.00 (on sale). This would be a great and helpful buy for your situation.
