Q: QuestionWhen in heat mode does it get hot to the touch?

• A:Answer Not at all. This unit has never been hot to the touch for me. Been using it for at least 3 months now through the winter months. It also shuts off when the room reaches the desired/set temperature.

• A:Answer Hello LB, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Hot+Cool™ purifier fan removes a range of contaminants from the air. It purifies to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns from the home. It also removes pollen, mold, pet dander and odors such as cigarette smoke and cooking smells. • A:Answer Hello, This is Miella from Dyson. Dyson purifiers are proven to capture particles as small as viruses with our HEPA filters. However, we haven't tested with the COVID-19 virus specifically. We highly recommend using purification if you can as many of us are spending much more time inside our homes, generating indoor pollution from cooking, cleaning, from wood-burning stoves etc. and purifiers can remove those pollutants from the indoor environment. • A:Answer Yes. I have 2 different Dyson. Neither are this one, but they have done a good job filtering all particulates. My favorite is the Cryptonic with humidity. That did reduce the AQI from above 200 to 90 in 1 day by itself. My house is 1800 sq ft. Amazed me. Recommend you get one and keep it going, The other brands I had required that I be within 3 feet.
