Hi Wes, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool, when used in heater mode, uses 1500 watts. Most modern residential circuit breakers have a max load of either 1800 or 2400 watts. Typically, we would recommend plugging your HP01 into its own outlet, on a separate circuit breaker from other high-powered appliances. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
