Two things of note: 1) we have 4 cats who shed considerably (2) we live in the south and bought this primarily to use as a heater/cooler on the sun porch so do not run it continuously. I do not think we are your best source to answer this question. Sorry!

It purifies to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns from the home. It also removes pollen, pet dander and odors such as cigarette smoke and cooking smells.
