Hi there Albert, this is Tia with Dyson. If you're using the HP01 in heat mode, it'll draw 1500 watts. We do recommend plugging your purifier directly in to a wall outlet, where you do not have other high-powered machines plugged in. Best wishes, Tia Dyson Customer Support
