Hello Kate, this is Kelly with Dyson. We do not recommend using an adapter with your machine, as it can cause damage and void your machine's warranty. Dyson machines are only intended for use within the country where they are purchased, as they are not dual-voltage. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
