It does include a physical remote. You can also download the app and use it as a remote on your phone. It has all the setting in the original remote. It includes an auto setting, On/Off, fan speed, oscillation, timer, night mode and air-flow direction.

It also does include an auto mode where it will cut itself off when it reaches the set air quality sensitivity. You can set up a timer and a schedule.
