Hello Ginger, this is Kelly with Dyson. When purchased new and from Dyson directly, or a Dyson authorized retailer, the V11 Animal Cord-free includes a 2-year warranty. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

2 year manufacturer warranty on all defects of the equipment. Best buy warranty is definitely better option.
