• I as well have arthritis and unfortunately, you have to squeeze the trigger while operating the vacuum.

• You do have to hold down the trigger the entire time you’re vacuuming. If you vacuum a lot it may become uncomfortable, but it’s easy to use in either hand if you get tired.
