Hello Don, this is Kelly with Dyson. All of the Dyson cordless machines will include a charger and the dock which you can wall mount. Use of the dock is completely optional. The charger is completely independent of the dock. When the dock is mounted to the one, the end with the pin that charges the machine will snap in to the dock and the cord will thread behind the dock with the other end plugging in to your power outlet. The dock will need to be mounted a certain number of feet away from the outlet, to allow room for the machine. There will be instructions included in the user guide along with a diagram outlining this. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The charging unit mounts either to wood or with the drywall screws included. We have ours mounted in a closet high enough above the floor to snap the short attachments onto the charger base. There needs to be a 110 volt convince outlet installed near the desired mounting location. ( I had to add an outlet for ours.)
