“When can I expect to see a model with a plug-in battery like my other cordless tools? Having just one spare battery would effectively double the run time. Seems that it would be an easy feature to incorporate and would provide significant extra value.”

Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson V8. All of our cordless machines include a battery that can be removed. Therefore, spare batteries can be purchased as backup. Best Wishes, Krystal

The truth is that they will not sell it to you. This is the quote from their website. "This spare part is not available to buy as it should only be replaced by a qualified engineer." Qualified engineer to replace a battery what a crock.

It is rechargeable. You hang it in it's portal and it recharges.
