Try removing the brush and cleaning out the ends. You might have too much hair or carpet threads stuck in there which can hamper the performance. If this is not the case, check for any melted plastic on the sides where the brush sits. If you have melted parts, return it under warranty. The only thing that would have caused over heating and melting would be if it was run too long with the brush not spinning because something was holding it still.

Too much power and it sucks the brush head attachment into the rug and stops the brush. We now vacuum our rugs with it on "low" and it works perfectly even on our longer strand shower rug.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That head is for very short carpeting (office carpet), hard wood floors & tile floors. There was another head that came with your vacuum, that one is designed for thicker carpets & won't stop during use.
