“My mom has dogs AND hardwood floors. I see the absolute is recommended for floors over the animal, but is NOT hypoallergenic and is NOT designed for pet hair. Since the pet hair /dander is the main focus, which would you suggest as the best option?”

Although this doesn't mention that it handles pet hair, it handles it with ease. I've got two dogs and a combination of hardwood and carpeted floors. Purchased this vacuum about 6 weeks ago and have never been so pleased with a vacuum. Handles my considerable pet hair issues way better than any vacuum I've ever owned.
