Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Pat, this is Kelly with Dyson. If you have a home with mainly hard flooring, you may wish to have a look at the V8 Absolute model. This will be exactly like the Animal model, but it also includes a second floor tool; the soft roller Fluffy head. This floor tool was engineered specifically for use on bare floors. There is no spinning brush bar for hair to get wrapped up in. You could still use the direct-drive floor tool on your room with the carpeting. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
