• I was under-impressed by this vacuum...I can tell you that I had a Miele that lasted me for over 25 years and was great on all surfaces from hard woods to shaggy carpets. I thought that with all the Dyson hype it would stand up to my expectations but I will chalk it up to a bad decision and go and purchase another Miele

• Yes! We find it works best on shag when you use “max power” rather than “min” like you would on wood floor or low pile rugs
