“Do you have to turn it on when you backup or does it turn on automatically?”

• You can setup two ways.. one is to tap into the brake lights and when you the lights go on for reverse the camera will come on.. This is what i did or you can run a hot lead to the wire instead and it can be on all the time...

• If you plan to use this as a backup only camera, then you'll need to tie into the backup light wire for power for the camera itself. Then it will come on automatically, as long as you have the screen powered with the supplied plug for a cigarette type (or USB) receiver.
