• Correct, you'd plug it into your internet router and then configure it to be your wifi source. They have you download an app on your phone, which guides you through initial setup and what you'll use to manage it moving forward (like change the name, set your security settings if you want, etc).

• You need to ability from you service provider to use WiFi. The unit only amplifies your service.

• You have to have a modem which connects your house to the internet. Then you connect one of the EERO's to that modem via ethernet cable and follow the instructions from there. You do not need to have existing WiFi in your home. Probably best if you don't.
