Is it compatible with a Linksys router? null

Yes. However the eero will not extend any wireless network the Linksys is generating. What you will do is plug one eero into that Linksys, once setup the eero will generate its own wireless network. Other eero (wired or wireless) will connect to that network and extend it. You will need to use an eero with an ethernet port (which the Beacon and eero 6 Extender do not have, but all others do) as that head/gateway eero.
