As long as the main eero is plugged hardwire to the modem the secondary eero can be used wireless. I have both hardwire. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only one needs to be connected to the router and will connect to the other wirelessly. the second port can go to your computer, on the second one, the ethernet ports can be used for Roku and Xbox, etc.
