QuestionCan this be used with an Arris 5268ac by attaching one eero Pro to the Arris and using the remaining 2 eero Pro’s to extend WiFi through out the house? home is 3,600 square feet on one level and the Arris simply cannot supply reliable WiFi.

- Answer My house is 3850 square feet 2 story and the 3 eeros spaced out though the house has worked great so far but I’m only a month in so still testing it out

Questionneed to put security system about 400 ft. from home wi-fi will this do the job, or is there something else i need to look at?

- Answer It worked for us. Before we bought these, we tried a ring doorbell and our wifi wouldn't reach the front porch and we didn't have good reception towards the back of the house. After connecting 2 + base of these, We have great and fast service all over our house and now have a ring doorbell that works. Our downstairs is 4150 s.f. so these extend the range a lot!!

QuestionI am replacing my eero tri-band Wi-Fi 5 router with the Pro six router. I cannot use the old router for extending range right? If that's true would you recommend the Beacon or something else to extend the range?

- Answer Yes, you can use the older units to extend your range. They will just not perform as well as the pro 6 units, so use them where the speed does not matter as much. We have that same setup, the pro 6 as our base units for things that need the speed and bandwidth, and our older pro units for things that don’t need that much, like security cameras, smoke detectors and such.

- Answer Will not work with the Velop system. I replaced my Linksys with eero. So much better!!

- Answer I am not sure about the concern with Google Home, but it does work really well with Amazon Alexa devices. We have several through out the house, and we haven't had any issues thus far.

- Answer Yes. It has worked with our Amazon/Alexa devices. We do not have the Apple Homekit, so I wouldn't know about that.

- Answer Any eero is compatible with each other. Of course speeds are limited if it is an older product. The newest eero pro system lists wifi 6 compatibility, just check the specs to make sure you are buying the right model.

- Answer Yes - Each device can act like a router - though at 159 ft you could get coverage still from using 1 in house and other 2 creating a mesh between home and garage

QuestionCan this unit be used as a WiFi extender for our current main Spectrum Router and does it have to connect to our current router by cable or can the connection be wireless?

- Answer I don’t think it can be used with the Spectrum because the WiFi connection would be bogged down in trying to bounce around the communications in competing devices. I know because I tried to use the EeroPro as a WiFi extender and learned by trial and error that it made things work but much slower than by just using the EeroPro and a good modem. The base unit EeroPro is connected to the modem via Ethernet port. The second and third EeroPro units communicate wirelessly to each other as well as to the base unit, but note that each EeroPro unit has 2 Ethernet ports for wired connection to smart device hubs.

QuestionI have the eero - AC Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (3-Pack) - White version and was wondering if this would be an upgrade? We have VERY poor cell service and thus when we go outside we cannot use internet, would this version be much of an improvement?

- Answer I'd say no. The one that you have is good for 1,500 sq ft per eero, and the eero pro is good for 1,750 sq ft. It may help some, but it wouldn't help materially.

QuestionWe use Verizon Fios as an Internet provider, and we also rent their modem. Can the Eero ac dual-band mesh wi-fi system-3-pack replace the Fios modem, or will I have to buy something else? We currently have a few devices plugged in with an ethernet cable.

- Answer The Verizon modem is still needed; however, the WiFi on the modem is completely replaced by this product. The Eero Pro is not a modem. It is only a router. So, it takes the signal from the modem and extends it throughout the home.
