A:Answer The second gen, more specifically the pro version, is designed to carry a heavier load of data and more devices. In my case, I chose the second gen because I always have 30+ devices on my network simultaneously, and previous mesh systems would often drop devices off the network and have difficulty with the handoff from one node to another. Buy this one if you have (1) a larger home and (2) many many devices operating at the same time.
