If you are using all eero Pro’s you can hard-wire every device if you wish creating access points at each device. That would be a more expensive solution with eero than just getting normal access points and hard-wiring them to a big fast router. The non-eero approach should give far better performance, far better network management tools, and far less cost. If you are using eero Beacons, those do not have Ethernet ports so cannot be hard-wired. They are WiFi-connected to at least one eero Pro.

Please try again later.You can hardwire each eero Pro if you wish with one caveat: whichever eero Pro you choose to be the gateway will have an Ethernet cable coming into it from your modem. There are only two Ethernet ports on the eero Pro so that leaves you with only one available port. You could run this to another eero Pro or use it for any wired device. You could also run this to an Ethernet hub or switch and run Ethernet cables from the hub/switch to each of the other eero’s. A third option is to daisy-chain the eero’s to each other. All that said, if you’re going to run Ethernet to all these, instead of spending the money for eero’s consider that you could get far cheaper more easily managed wireless access points connected to a much more powerful router and get far better performance overall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are Ethernet ports on each piece, but only 2 unfortunately. At minimum, one piece needs to be hardwired, and the other two Eero’s can be wireless, but the each have two Ethernet ports a piece.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Each node has two Ethernet ports but to fix that issue, I bought an 8 port Linksys switch for each node and I have no issues nor have I lost bandwidth. I pay for 100mbps and the lowest my test came out to 118mbps, but I also own my own modem.
