• The cup I replaced had chipping. I’ll be more gentle washing this cup.

• Yes, yes it is. Per EMBER.Com this should not affect functionality since flaking is cosmetic, not functional.

• Perhaps if you are using a metal or hard spoon or stirring utensil. I use a wooden spoon and have had mine for months so far and it’s showed no damage or wearing
