Is the mug too hot to hold or in your lips to drink null

Would depend on the Temperature setting you use and your own sensitivity. I use the default 135 degree F setting with Coffee and Tea and the surface of rim is not too hot when drinking. The handle is still practically cool to touch. The Ember mug only goes to 145 degrees F

No, the mug does not get hot, only the liquid inside of it.

Not at all, stays cool to touch. Would recommend highly
