• No it has two rings on the base of the mug that make contact with two pins in the charging coaster.

• It does not. There are electric contacts on the mug and charging coaster that are necessary to charge the mug's battery. The coaster is the only way to charge the mug and it cannot be used to charge any other device, such as a cell phone.

• No, it's not wireless charging, it has two metal contacts that you should not get wet
