• It doesn't appear to work for the Surface because the voltage output is not very high. It works quite well for Android and iPad tablets as well as phones. However, if it was charging my Surface when I tested it out with a USB A to USB C cable, it was doing so at such a slow trickle that the system was not indicating that it was drawing a charge.
