1) about 8-hours for a full charge. 2) I have a different charger. The light stays on, doesn't blink, while charging. It completely goes out, doesn't shine or blink, when it's done charging.

energiser rechargeable light dos it need a special charger or will it change off normal electric which is the best and quickest way to recharge

It's pretty quick. I don't feel like it's as strong as a regular C Battery, unless my flashlight needs to be replace. Other than that, it's a good product.

Ours take a few hours to charge. Our charger has a red light while they are charging, which turn green once each battery is charged.
