• USB connection is the most common way with older versions. These days, WIFI is used because it is so much easier to print not for set up. You can set it up either way. I am not a fan of cables. Now, the different is how you use it. If you don't set the WIFI option, you won't be able to print from your phone for example. Have set using WIFI, you can print from practically from any device that is connected to the same WIFI. I hope this helps.
