“On the ET-5170 & ET-5800, can I operate these units in a location with no internet access? Can I get a CD with the drivers for Mac OS 11.6? If no CD, after downloading the drivers from the web can I use the units without ever needing the web again?”

Hi Chuck, The ET-5170 and ET-5800 do not require Internet access to work. Epson no longer supplies a driver CD for those models. You can download the drivers to your Mac from the Epson Support site and use a Wi-Fi connection to print and scan. The Wi-Fi network does not need to be Internet-connected. With a suitable adaptor, you can also connect your Mac to one of the printers using a USB cable. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
