“I recently asked if the 5170 (or 5800) as a standalone copier would copy using the rear feed slot. You stated the "paper setting" can be selected via Copy Settings on the control panel. So will the rear feed slot make copies without a computer or not?”

Hi MrPrint, Yes you can. The EcoTank Pro ET-5170 works as a stand-alone copy machine. You load the originals in the 35-sheet auto document feeder for the scanner and use the front panel controls to select options such as color or black and white, enlarge/reduce copies, and paper source. Then once you press Start to begin copying, the sheets in the auto document feeder scan and paper is fed from the paper cassette or the single-sheet rear feed slot to print the scans as a copy.
