Can you connect a speaker null

No the optical output on the EH-LS300 can only output 2.0 pcm sound and not 5.1 DD/DTS surround sound. Only Epson knows the answer to why it can't.

i have connected the optical cable for audio out. However i do hear any audio in my surround speakers. the audio is ononly on front speakers Does this not support 5.1 output?
