I also only had an iPad for this setup. There is a walk through menu on the printer for setting up your Wireless Access. Once your wireless is active on the printer, your iPad will be able to find the printer through Air Print. Air Print is enabled by default on the printer. After I set up the wireless, it took about 5 minutes for my iPad to find the printer. Hope this helps
