Hi, The Expression Home XP-4100 can print in black and white. The setting is in the printer driver software. It comes with a standard power cord to plug into a wall outlet. We do not test with heat transfer vinyl so the print quality cannot be guaranteed. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
