“This model does not have an automatic document feeder like the X7100. is there a disadvantage? I'm planning on printing photos. Also, does it have the capability to scan and print delicate old photos.”

Hello Mel57. The disadvantage of not having the auto document feeder is that you will not be able to load multiple pages to scan at a time. However, you can still scan documents and photos on the XP-8600 just fine. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
