My experience with the Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Printer has been mixed. While the printer is very nice looking and it is easy to use, I found that the set-up process was very time consuming, for me at least. Setting up the printer took around an hour at minimum. Installing the 6 ink cartridges was fairly easy. I found that calibrating the Printer Head alignment and making those adjustments was a bit overly complicated due to it being very difficult to see when needing to pick the best results on the test pages. Regardless of the above issue, the Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Printer does to an excellent job at printing. I love that I am able to print photos or other items such as paper documents wirelessly over Wi-Fi from my laptop or even my Smartphone! No more having to hook up a USB Cable from my Printer to my Computer! Using a USB Cable is an option, but it may not always be convenient if your computer set up isn't stationary. The Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Printer allows you to print photos directly from a Memory Card which I believe is a great feature since you can start printing photoswithout having to upload themto your computer first if they do not need to be edited. The printer is also voice activated. The printer also features the ability to print onto CDs and DVDs. A perfect addition for saving photos or video memories, making keepsake party favors or for any photography business. I love the adjustable 4.3 inch touchscreen control panel. It is easy to use. There is no issues being able to see the on-screen options because you can tilt the control panel to better suit your view. I like that I could view step-by-step instructions via the colored touchscreen control panel when installing the ink cartridges and performing other maintenance tasks. I do wish that the printer offered the ability to be used as a Fax, for those times when you may unexpectedly need to send a fax, but this printer does have a lot of nice features even if having a fax isn't a requirement for you. I do have to wonder how much this printer will cost over time when needing to replace the 6 ink cartridges.. It could possibly get very expensive.. I feel like this could be one of the major Cons regarding this printer. Another small Con is that the power cord seems to get knocked loose from the printer and fall out easily even though I try to make sure that is is plugged in all the way. Overall, I think the Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Printer is a very nice, compact printer if you do not have a lot of space on your desk. The Epson XP-8600 is a small photo printer that can also scan and copy items. It does lack an automatic document feeder, but that is not a major drawback. The XP-8600 is a fairly compact unit for what it does. It is quiet with better speeds than my older printers (Canon and Kodak). Its size enables it to be located almost anywhere in your workroom/office. It has a 4.3-inch color touchscreen display for you to use to control its settings and features, which are very easy to use. The panel containing the display tilts upward for ease of use and visibility. The setup was quick and easy, although I did have a little issue with connecting wirelessly to my iMac. I had to connect with a USB cable first to get the wireless to connect. I didn't have to do this on my Windows 10 PCs. This printer uses 6-color inkjet technology. The colors came out fairly bright and clear for photos. Black is clear and sharp, too. I printed a couple of images from my Android phone easily and quickly. (There was no setup required for this at all. I just clicked on the print option on the photo and selected the Epson printer.) The prints looked like the photo, although printing on plain paper does not produce as good a photo image as photo paper does. (Prints on photo paper did look a bit pixellated in places. That could be due to using older HP photo paper, which is all I had at the time.) It does print borderless prints in various sizes (and prints on CD/DVDs). 8.5 X 11 documents can be scanned easily on the scanner on top, and scans can be sent to a variety of destinations. I usually don’t post reviews but this printer is fantastic the setup was easy, following prompts with no problems. The Epson printer is so much smaller and compact than my old cannon printer The wireless feature is a big time saver it allows me to use the printer with all my devices. The setup is good, it prints good, it’s a space-saver, and it’s touch-screen is really nice too. I’m look forward to using this printer for many years

I've had this printer for a few weeks now and it's an amazing compact printer. The set up from opening the box to finish was easy I didn't even need instructions. I currently already had a wire for my old printer that worked just fine with this new printer. It's small and sleek looking a little heavier than I thought it would be that really isn't an issue. This Epson Expression photo XP- 8600 has so many features. It has auto 2 sided print ,multi paper input, mobile printing, memory card slot. It prints, scans and copies. It has cd/DVD print this thing has everything compared to my old printer. It does take 6 ink cartridges but it's not that bad cause it's not more costly than the average printer. The prints are so clear and bright my phone wouldn't do it justice. It works with Mac or windows so it can be connected to just about any device including your mobile devices which is great since I have so many different devices. I have receive this couple days ago and tried to use it. The installing process may take a while when you connect it to a laptop that dont have CD desk (my laptop dont have it so I need to download the epson app). To connect the product in wifi is very fast and the whole installing will be quick and easy just reading the instruction. What I like about this printer is really fast in printing in any kind of documents you want to print. I tried to compare my printer now and my old one it has a big different especially in the quality of photo printing. This printer has more quality of photo. I also like that it has a soft touchscreen because my old one is just the basic one. This also has strong mobile connectivity which is really nice to have. I also like the idea that I can use usb drive or SD memory card if ever i want quick and easy of printing. The cons of having this product may cost of using the ink because it has 6 different colors so this may be the issue but if you better quality photos when printer this is worth buying for. My review of the Expression Photo XP-8600 Small-in-One Printer, is really a good one. First, it comes with everything you need for completely setting up and ready to print with in a few minutes, The instructions are simple and easy to follow. The control panel guides you through the easy setup. You can connect this printer through blue tooth, Wi-Fi or USB cable, to your cell phone, I-Pad, tablet/reader or computer. I love how this printer has two different paper tray sizes you can keep loaded at all times. Making this printer always ready to print. My previous printers I had to always manually load photo paper and adjust for the different size of the papers. Now I just load the larger size(8x10) photo paper, because my (4x6) size is always loaded in the second tray, ready to print. I also love the auto turn off setting, that after a certain time the unit turns it's self off. Another energy saver. You can also either make adjustments using your device (computer, I-Pad, cell phone or tablet), or you can just go to the setting using the control panel right on the printer. This is so convenient. for checking ink level, paper type, paper size. and so much more. The scanner is easy and simple to use and print from. The ink tanks are easy to locate and mistake proof to replace. All in all this printer offers a whole a lot whether you are a novice or a pro you will find this printer does an excellent job. Prints quality photo pictures. I only problem I ran into was using a no name photo paper size 4x6. It would not pick up the paper. The Epson Expression Photo XP-8600 Small-in-One Printer has been a fantastic addition to my home office setup. Upon opening the box, you have your printer, your power cord, manual and ink cartridges. It also includes an instructional disc with information on how to properly setup the printer. I have experience with many different printers, so I opted to try a plug-and-play. I had no issues figuring it out myself as it was a fairly self explanatory and simple process, which the handy digital display helps you through step-by-step. Having a touchscreen digital display also makes for a very quick, simple printing process. It has multiple paper trays for 4x6-8x10 sheets of paper, and also has front or rear loading. My favorite feature of all is the wifi connectivity. It took literally 30 seconds to get this printer connected to my wifi, and the connection is very strong even with my router being in another area of my home. I absolutely love that all I had to do was download Epson's app on my phone and now I can seamlessly & effortlessly print any photo from my device or from anywhere on the internet with just a few clicks. It prints quickly, and the photos are crisp and colorful. With 6 color cartridges, this printer can sure print some vibrant photos. The ink cartridges are also super simple to install and if you're running low, the printer will let you know. Epson really put forth an effort with this series that I can appreciate! This epson photo printer provides a high quality print on both regular and photo paper. The machine itself is easy to set up following the provided instructions. The on screen guide is a great assist to handle the correcting of any issues that may arise during the initial set up process. This printer has the capability to handle both 4x6 and 8 1/2 × 11 paper, with two separate trays. Connecting to a wireless network was extremely easy. The machine picked up our wifi signal as soon as it was set up, with no delays. I was easily able to download the app from the app store on my phone and had high quality photo prints within minutes. The photos print extremely quick and are clear, high quality images that look like they were professionally printed. The scanner feature creates very clear copies of original images and documents. The quality of photographs scanned and printed were no less than the quality of the prints I printed for the first time. I really like how the screen panel opens and tilts for easier viewing. Overall, this is the best photo Painter I have ever used. Epson created a wonderful product. What a great experience. I usually hate setting up new equipment, but this Epson printer was fast and easy. I was really surprised and pleased with the ease and the easy to follow instructions. The link that was included was very helpful. The printer is a great size for your home desk or small table next to it. Our family has several printing projects weekly either for personal needs, school or work. This printer has made our work load a lot easier then before. I would recommend this printer to anyone that i talked too. I have tools several friends and people at work about what a great find I made. I love this printer it has so many opinions to make your printer fun and creative. When you first plug in the printer it will ask you to install the ink cartridges. The cartridges have green caps on them you have to remove before you install them. There are 6 ink cartridges. After you put them in it takes 10 minutes for them to install. After that is done it will ask if you want to do an alignment, I did. Once thats done your ready to print. It has different print functions on the touchscreen. You can pick from many sizes. It even has installed backgrounds you can pick from. It had three trays in the front. One is for printer paper and photo paper. The other is for smaller things like envelopes and other paper types. It also prints labels for cd's. It was very easy to connect to my phone with the Epson app. It prints very good and the color are great. It doesn't use a lot of ink either witch I love. I did have one paper jam but the back comes off and it's very easy to remove the paper. All the functions worked great!! I am really happy with this All in One compact printer, it was very easy to connect to my PC using the CD that was included and will connect easily to a phone or tablet using the Epson iprint app. This little printer is super fast and the colors of the ink cartridges turn out beautiful high quality photos. This printer will also do plain paper, envelopes and can do printable CD/DVD's and a awesome bonus you can use this printer with Google assistant or Alexa. There is touch screen so you do not have to use a PC to print your photos, another plus that I find useful it has 2 sided printing for documents, a must for my home office. I really like the quality of this printer. It was relatively easy to set up as well. The paper trays feel a bit flimsy, and the photo tray can be a bit tricky to put in correctly. But it hasn't been a real problem. Not sure how long the ink cartridges will last, but they are not super big.

I work from home, homeschool my 3 kids, and do a lot of crafting. This printer is perfect for everything I need it for. Set up was easy and I love the color screen on the front helping me step by step. I'm able to print out weekly sales reports for my work in a breeze because it's not only quick but it's also quiet and prints sales reports and tax papers with a professional look. Since my kids are homeschooled I am constantly printing out work for them, my old printer just couldn't keep up. I print around 20+ pages of school work a day and it caused my old printer to lag, making it take so much longer than I wanted. But with this printer it's almost like I'm the one that has to keep up because once I'm done pushing that "Print" button and start to push print on another.. the first one is already done! After all work is done (mine and the kids) I like to work on some of my hobbies which include paper crafting, card making, and more. Pictures that I print out for family look so professional. The colors are vibrant, there's no lines, and it's much quicker than our last printer. Plus I LOVE being able to print out pictures from home! I really have nothing negative to say about this thing. Love it so much! It's quiet, print beautifully! The color is a little bit off, but if you print in the glossy paper with premium photo paper set up and let Photoshop control the color, it comes out almost perfect! The ink seems to run out pretty quickly, but then I actually print more than 20 lettersize borderless glossy photo in best quality. And the size is so compact!

So far I am VERY pleased with this printer! Easy to get up and running and prints gorgeous pictures at a fast speed! Delivery was fast. Love the rear option for special papers one at a time !! Just what I was looking for!

Good but not great. The printer needs to align each time a photo is printed. But once it is the photos are amazing! Very smart too, wifi just seems to work as well even with a house with plaster walls and ceilings. I tried to look around to see if this alignment issue is standard for all high quality printer and it might be a defect but since i am not returning this puppy i will live with it. Only need to print photos once in a while and I have a not for the alignment.

I was having a problem printing from my iMac desktop using an HP. This printer has made my life easier. I print documents and photographs. Make copies. Scan to my computer. It only lost the connection to my printer once, I just unplugged the USB, and plugged it back in, no problem

After some calibration for a good 30 minutes it was up and running and I did some test prints on 4×6 ultra premium glossy Epson photo paper. It looks better than the photos I bought at walmart as well as one of those drug stores, ritf aid or bartells or whatever. Seriously, if you get the good paper and align everything right, the borderless photos are incredible. The software is even surprisingly good, allowing you to connect easily and make collages. But the COOLEST PART IS! If you get transfer paper and an iron you can make the sickest T shirts, mouse pads, pillows, basically anything cloth. I've tested it out and it looks incredible, and actually stays on the shirt after you wash it. I didn't know that when I bought the printer, but I got myself a new hobby. Apparently you can make stickers too. But yeah, great printer. People leaving negative reviews are using it wrong or didn't calibrate it or something. This printer is dooooope

This is a sweet little printer. It has done everything I’ve asked of it including printing outstanding pictures in beautiful color.
