• Yes to your first ? ... And yes to your 2nd question...just wait till your scan saves, see it appear in your display automatically and Rename It there.

• I have mine wired to my laptop and when you scan it will save them directly to your documents/photos folder. Once there you can change the name faster and move to other folder or USB.
