You can, but this has both wireless connectivity and/or you can plug a network cable to it and connect it directly to your home router and then anyone who connects to your network via wireless or network cable can print and/or scan to/from it. I have connected to my router and have wireless turned off so that the only devices that can print to it must first connect to my router. I can print from android phone, android tablet, and Windows PCs wirelessly and from my Windows desktop via wired network.
