No, we have our screen over 5‘ wide x 6‘-8” tall picture window. We have three other 40 inch wide by 80 inch tall windows in the room. We do not have room darkening shades. It is a great picture on a cloudy day. I am sure it will be fine with the shades drawn on a sunny day.
