In the software as you set up your first scan, you can identify where you want the scan stored. We're scanning old family pictures over 40 years so we've set up our destination folder on my computer by year. I'm not sure about adding a blurb under the photo with the scanner but you can modify the scanned picture when it gets into your computer folder. Enjoy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1) Yes. Storing in the computer is the default. For easy organization, make a folder, such as "Scans" and one of the last steps before scanning is selecting where you want to save it on your computer. It will remember it from the prior scan, so only need to do once unless you have another group you want in a different folder. 2) Sort of. After scanned, can go into the folder and change the file name from the default IMG(number sequence) to whatever you want. However, writing a blurb , not under, but technically on the picture, or in the border under, would require some special photo software with text capability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It automatically numbers the photos when scanning and it allows you to create and pick the folder where you want it saved. You can right click on the photo to replace the number with a name or whatever you’d like.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can scan directly to a folder on your computer or you can scan from your computer with a unique filename and location. The software that comes with the scanner does not provide tagging or text. There are 3rd party apps that.would provide that functionality. I tag via Mac OS Photos which makes it a 2 step process.
