Yes. The software you download to do your scanned is designed to cut the images for you in the scanning process. That also includes film that you scan as well.

Does this Perfection V550 scanner by Epson work with Windows 7 - 64bit ?   (5 Answers)

I have a Canoscan 3000EX scanner. No driver exists to run this scanner on Windows 7 -64bit. They refuse to provide one. So, I'm dumping Canon immediately. Will this scanner work with Windows 7 - 64 bit ( as opposed to Windows 7 - 32 bit ) ???

Yes, it will!!! Our office runs both 32 & 64 bit Windows 7, & there are absolutely no problems. Besides, Epson CD includes both bit versions. Hope this helps!

              Answer

I assume that you want to record the date a picture was taken on in the file that you get after scanning a printed picture or slide. The answer is that yes, you can add a date taken to your file, but not via the Epson scanner interface. Use the scanner to create a picture jpg file. After scanning, go to the file and right click on it, then choose the 'properties' option. In the Properties box, click on the "Details" tab. You can now fill in the 'date taken' and a bunch of other fields that can be saved in the jpg picture file.

Yes it does separate them. Just be sure to have a little space between each picture. We put as many as 6 photos (depending on their size) on the scanner. Have fun.
