“I am wondering how this scanner does with artwork. I’m looking to scan artwork into digital format for prints. Does anyone have experience with that? I guess it is decent due to the fact that it is good with photos. I often use dark paper so concerned.”

I scan antique ancestor photos with this scanner and the detail is super even at 2400 & 3200dpi (dots per inch) and it goes up to 12800dpi. It will be real good for artwork scanning.
