The scanning speed depends on the resolution that you choose. A lower resolution, around 300 dpi, will scan faster; but this will affect the quality of any prints you make, with the largest good-quality print being about 4 x 6 inches. The higher the resolution you choose, the longer the scans will take. I have found that a resolution of 1200 to 1500 dpi works well for 8 x 10 prints, and the scan only takes about one minute to complete.
