• The software splits each slide, or frame from a negative film strip, into individual images and saves them. It does reverse the negative so you get a color positive picture. Just pick the image you want and print it.

• Hi Newbie, You can scan 12 negatives or four slides at a time. The scanner software automatically converts negatives to positives. Each frame or slide is saved as a separate image in a common file type such as JPEG, PNG, BMP, etc. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
