“I am about to begin scanning hundreds of old photos and slides and am new to this. I want to add titles and comments on many. Will this scanner allow me to do that or do I need an additonal program?”

Hi Descriptions, No additional program is necessary. You can set the included scan driver software to prompt you to enter a file name each time you save a scanned image. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
