The scanner will scan 4 (four) slides at a time and two negative strips, with room for more, (8 pictures) my experience is at 4800 dpi, once started takes about 30 minutes. Scan of negatives is recommended at 4800 dpi, all 8 negative pictures are stored in individual files. Each slide is also stored in a separate file.
